Hi Angie,

Thanks for stopping by! I totally agree with you - I don't really believe in 'diets' either per se...I'm trying everything in my power to change my habits long term.

I'm also with you on the "more they think about dieting the more they struggle." I've battled with that concept for a long time.

For me, I've finally accepted the fact that I have to be very strict with myself - by counting calories, etc - or I will lose control. I've come to terms with that but that's just me...I have some serious emotional issues when it comes to food which I have to keep in check all the time.

Yes, in a way I am keeping a journal. This blog is meant to be my journal though I've been meaning to post more often than I do. It really helps to get my feelings out to the world.

And the feedback from readers like yourself really help!

Thanks again,

Gina

Hang in there- I personally don't believe in 'diets' it is lifestyle change- you will find what works for you. Mindset does have a lot to do with it, when in doubt do examine any emotional attachments when it comes to food.
What I have found with some clients is the more they think about dieting the more they struggle. The clients who have struggled with their weight know more about diets, calorie counting, fats, vitamins ect than any other client.
It is a process. It is a relationship with the food- I invite you to examine that relationship. Journaling is excellent- are you keeping a journal? You will see patterns- don't just journal the food but the moods too. Really step outside of it and look at it on paper. Hope this helps you in some way!
